(Side note: Yuki has a body she uses to touch people and things like that,
so that'll
be what "Human form" means so you aren't confused or anything ^^ I'll
explain the
body thing later, but it'll likely be pretty dark..)

Location: A multi-grade school in Nishi-Ku, Hiroshima (Or Yokohama if you
want) There's
also a relatively small flower memorial for her at this school's entrance
which says
that she was killed in a house fire, that house now being the school. Yuki
can leave
the school if she wanted, but she'd have to possess something or someone
in order
to do so. [Or a house - see the alt version below her backstory!]

Usual clothes: A white dress she has to wear which comes from the gown she
was wearing
when she died. If in human form, it's the school uniform the body Yuki
uses had on
when she found it. That's mostly because she hasn't really had access to
other clothes
yet, but she's fine with the uniform for now.
Abilities: Can phase through things..well, as in she phases through
anything she
tries to touch or vise versa, can possess people or even most objects,
float, become
invisible to certain people or just everyone and about anything else you'd
expect
a ghost to be able to do- only with the addition of being able to have
night vision
if she activates it. It'll turn her eyes completely black, so she uses it
most of
the time whenever she tries scaring someone.
The main power she uses is possession, but mainly to control the body of a
girl who
looks a lot like how Yuki used to look- if just a little older since Yuki
was 11
when she died and the body she uses is about five years older than her.
Yuki's possession
powers seem to let bodies seem as if they're actually still alive,
depending the
body's state when she possessed it. Yuki would never kill someone, so it's
unclear
where she got the body; but she'd be happy to tell the story if anyone
ever asked
about it. It's not exactly a long one, but still.

Personality: Yuki is an energetic and playful girl, if just a little too
playful.
She's an incredibly nice person, but she's basically made herself believe
that the
only way she'd ever make and keep friends is by playing tricks on them.
She sees
it as a way of having fun with them, so she sees it as harmless; but due
to having
a lot of people not want to be her friend because of that, both when she
was alive
or dead, she's tried toning her tricks down a notch so they won't
completely scare
anyone away.
She's also never actually hurt anyone as a ghost or tried to, but if
anyone did get
hurt, she'd definitely feel really bad about it,even if she wasn't the one
who inflicted
it. had made friends before (mostly after she became a ghost), but it
seemed that
her tricks were a little too much for most people to handle.
Anyway, as mentioned before, Yuki's very nice, just a little
irresponsible, but that's
just due to her young mental age. If she makes serious or otherwise
threats, she'll
usually unintentionally make it obvious she won't actually follow through
with them.
If she needs to be serious about something, she'll try, but she can't
really keep
up the act for long. So at the end of the day, Yuki's usually in a
optimistically
good mood, even if she's lonely or something like that. She knows she'll
make new
friends eventually, but when seems to be a mystery.
ΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓ
Backstory:
Yuki was born to Ryo and Yaeko Nakanuma, who loved her and raised her to
be as nice
as she is. As for her playfulness, that's something that she developed
from her parents
being okay with her messing with them, so she thought it'd be okay to do
that to
other people. When she started doing it to others, her parents got a
little concerned
and thought that she'd never make friends if she kept going; but when they
thought
that, it seemed Yuki had already won a few people over once they saw the
nicer side
of herself after some of them got hurt from her pranks- something she was
quick to
let them know that she didn't want or plan to happen and made sure they
were okay.
With that being the case, Yuki's parents let her continue doing what she
usually
did now that their worries were mostly subsided.
Everything was going fine until sometime in 2001, which is when the
Nakanuma family's
stove had a gas leak one night; leading to the house to catch fire. The
parents got
out fine, but the entrance to Yuki's room was blocked behind some burning
boards.
Her parents hoped that maybe she got out without them realizing it, but
that unfortunately
wasn't the case as Yuki was still fast asleep and actually ended up not
feeling anything
when she died. So, assuming that Yuki was gone for good, her parents and
friends
naturally grieved for a while, but were able to move on after some time.
The house was burned almost completely, with Yuki's parents able to get
out with
a few belongings and things like that. Yuki's parents left Nishi-Ku after
the incident,
so instead of rebuilding the house, the city decided to just demolish the
house and
build a school there. There was enough free room around the house for one,
so everything
worked perfectly. The school was finished sometime in 2005, but opened in
late 2006
due to needing supplies, final checks of the school and other things like
that.
However, once it was finished and yet to be opened, Yuki seemed to have
came back
from the dead, just in ghost form. The reason for this seems to be because
since
she never realized she was dead, her soul stuck around the school area and
was given
the appearance of how Yuki looked before she died once it had somewhere to
stay-
that place being the school. Anyway, when Yuki finally woke up again, she
quickly
noticed that she was floating and her skin seemed completely white, along
with being
able to put her hand through her arm and other parts of her body. It only
took a
few seconds for her to start panicking, not because she didn't know what
was going
on, but because she had already realized that she must've died somehow and
became
a ghost.
Once she came to grips with everything, Yuki realized that she had no idea
what to
do next. She didn't know how much time had passed until she came across a
calendar
which said that it was four years past the last year she remembered being
alive.
It was a slight relief knowing she wasn't decades in the future or
something, but
the time wasn't very important to her once she remembered that her parents
and friends
must've missed her a lot these past few years. She realized that it had
been a while
since she apparently died, but she couldn't help but feel like she had to
tell them
she wasn't really gone. Luckily, most of her friends lived in Nishi-Ku..or
at least
used to, so she thought that maybe that'd be the best place to start if
they were
still around. The only problem was that Yuki couldn't really leave the
school, so
she hoped she'd meet one or possibly even all of her friends whenever the
school
opened, which for her was whenever a student walked through the doors.
After a few months passed, classes opened; with Yuki spending her time
until then
messing with the people getting the school ready whenever she needed to
cheer up
or if she was just really bored. After a while, Yuki saw a few of her old
friends
coming in the school, the others she assumed to be going to the same
school they
used to go to.
Once at least one of them they were alone, that's when Yuki decided to
confront them.
Some were scared, but eventually accepted that she was a ghost now and at
least not
gone forever. Others just accepted her outright instead of being afraid;
those people
naturally being some of Yuki's best friends or just someone who was really
nice or
just didn't get scared easily. After speaking with them, Yuki learned that
her parents
had left Nishi-Ku and went to live somewhere far away after the incident.
None of
them were really sure where they went or how to contact them, so
Yuki didn't really
have a way to let her parents know she wasn't really gone.
That's basically why Yuki still hangs around the school- hoping that maybe
her parents
would come back to the school so that she could talk to them again. Maybe
that talk
would be a goodbye, seeing if Yuki completes the one thing she wanted to
do as a
ghost and is able move on to wherever it is she's supposed to go next.
Yuki eventually
accepted that she may never see her parents again, but she mainly believed
and still
does believe that she'll see them again; she's just not sure when.
After Yuki accepted that, she went back to her old ways of messing with
people..well,
except her friends because she didn't think she should've since they
thought they'd
never see her again until now. She kept doing her old thing for the next
few years,
eventually becoming sort of an urban legend called the 'Nishi-Ku Oni'.
She's claimed
to scare people and scar them for life due to the fact that she doesn't
kill them,
but it's really just a huge exaggeration. It's also been assumed that this
oni is
the girl mentioned in the memorial at the school's entrance, so that would
be a correct
assumption.
Throughout the years, Yuki's had to say goodbye to all of her old and even
some of
her new friends because they've graduated high school and have to go to
college or
just don't have to go to the school anymore. Some of them still visit her,
but those
visits aren't very often as they're usually too busy to come by. Either
way though,
Yuki's happy enough for now playing tricks on people who stay behind after
classes
or are just alone somewhere in the school. It's mainly her optimism of
seeing her
parents that keeps her going, so without that, she likely wouldn't want to
stay at
this school for as long as she has and plans to until her parents come
back..hopefully.
-----------------
The story of how Yuki got her 'human form' (As a warning, this is the
darker part
of her backstory; hence why it wasn't put in her regular backstory with
everything
else. ... Hopefully it doesn't break any rules or anything..)
One day after classes ended a few hours ago, Yuki was roaming around the
school when
she heard a scream coming from one of the bathrooms. It definitely didn't
sound good,
so she hesitantly went to check what the sound was. That's where she found
a girl
just named Asami because she didn't have any parents who claimed her
besides an orphanage,
sitting on the floor against the wall. She looked a lot like Yuki looked
before she
died, just with shorter hair. There was also a growing blood spot where
her stomach
was, along with a knife in her hand, so Yuki figured out quickly that it
seemed as
if she had stabbed herself, to put it bluntly.
Despite being pretty scared of the situation, Yuki had to go see if there
was anything
she could do- even if it was just talking to her before she died..which
was basically
the only thing she could do. When Yuki went to talk to her, she shakily
said how
she was hoping no one would be around to see her die, but she actually was
kind of
happy that it was the ghost that was supposed to be terrorizing the
school; which
is when Yuki told her that she wasn't as bad as she might've thought.
After they
talked for the few minutes Asami had left, Asami had told Yuki that she
had no reason
to live- she had no friends, no parents, and no one who'd really miss her
or notice
she was gone.
Well..the whole no friends thing ended once she talked to Yuki, but that
came a little
too late. So, as a sort of parting gift and final request, Asami offered
to let Yuki
possess her body and do whatever she wanted with it after she died. She
saw it as
a better use of her body that just being buried and she trusted Yuki, so
she didn't
really see the harm in it. Besides, it was also a way for her to live on
somehow
and not just completely forgotten by everyone expect Yuki.
Yuki saw it as Asami's dying wish, so she accepted her request without
much thought.
Shortly after they both agreed, Asami said goodbye to her new friend and
passed away,
leaving Yuki with likely the strangest encounter with someone she'll ever
have and
a vessel to the physical world. While she used it to clean up the bathroom
and now
any time she wants to enter the physical plane, so to speak. Originally,
it kind
of felt wrong to use Asami's body, but after a while, she accepted that
she was just
fulfilling Asami's dying wish of having her body used in any other way
besides just
buried and forgotten about completely. Sometimes Yuki wishes that she got
to know
Asami better and maybe even become close friends, but the only way that'd
happen
is if they meet again in the afterlife if Yuki ever gets to go there.

VERSION---------------------------------------------------
Instead of a school, another house was built on top of Yuki's old one. So,
she'd
be haunting this house...pretty bored-like until someone moved in.
